A few days ago at the House Foreign Affairs Committee hearing, State dept official Donald Lu said Pakistan's election interference cases will be dealt with "in accordance with Pakistan's laws and procedures".
Today, six senior judges of Islamabad High Court have written an unprecedented letter saying that the Pakistani judicial system is being intimidated, threatened, and controlled by the Pakistani military.
Some of their shocking allegations against the military include:
- Installing hidden camera inside judges' bedrooms.
- Throwing cracker bombs into judges' houses.
- Abducting and torturing the families of the judges.
This letter is a historical document for Pakistan, it shows the level of lawlessness the Pakistani military, backed by the State dept, is willing to stoop to. It also proves that neither Imran Khan's cases nor the election interference cases have any hope for justice in Pakistan. Yet,
@RKionka's EU will give a GSP+ status to Pakistan and State dept will back all kinds of human rights violations in that country while gaslighting the public about it.
