I got 5.37 seconds.
I timed him with a stopwatch from his first step at the 50 until he reached the 10.
What time did you get?
I had to go back two years because Sanders only has one run in his 4 year college career over 40 yards on his ESPN stats page —and it was in this game when he played for FCS Jackson State vs. Southern in 2022.
The record for the slowest time at the NFL Combine for a quarterback according to the USA Today is 5.37 by Ryan Mallet.

I’ll put Colorado Safety Cam’ron Silmon-Craig’s film up against any safety from this draft class. Instincts of LB in the box, played heavy man covg at nickel in ‘23, takes great angles and plays FOOTBALL. Has great range playing high safety and is an elite open field tackler. If you watch his film and don’t come away impressed, you do not understand how to evaluate football players, or at least DB’s. My comp is Budda Baker (and I hate comps).
Kevin Winston Jr. is the best run support safety in the 2025 NFL Draft.
He has as many career forced fumbles as he does missed tackles (2) and has incredible instincts, rarely getting caught off guard.
He only has 694 career snaps, a major question mark.
Top 75 player, imo.
