In a dream world: This would be the perfect addition to the Magic roster in '25-26. You'd probably have to give up more than you are comfortable with to make it happen, but Philly is on the ropes, and Maxey is the perfect type of microwave scoring guard that the Magic desperately need. If it's not him, someone like him.
I'm not anti-Trae Young. But a ball centric guard who has to have the offense run through him isn't the best answer. It's AN ANSWER, it's not the best one.
Problem is, there are very few elite guards that you know will help this roster immediately that fit with Paolo and Franz - players that also would come in with very little downside - those players simple aren't anything close to available in the NBA, for the most part. The front office has to get this offseason right or it could set the franchise back years and years.
