If I URGENTLY wanted to thrive in Web3 in the next 2 to 3 weeks as a newbie…
Here’s the exact strategy I’d follow 👇🏾
✅ I’d forget chasing every big protocol. Focus on niche projects and active builders.
Big Web3 organizations have DAO processes, proposal cycles, and long wait times. Small projects, early-stage protocols, and solo devs need help now. I’d target founders, community leads, and product managers who are active on 𝕏 (formerly Twitter) and Discord.
✅ I’d package myself as a “Web3 utility player.”
Not just “learning crypto” I’d position myself as someone who can handle 2–3 roles at once:
📍 Community engagement
📍 Social content creation
📍 Research / documentation
Small teams love people who can adapt and deliver quickly.
✅ I’d build a mini Web3 portfolio in days, not months.
Forget a long CV, I’d create a Notion page showing:
📍 My skills (even if still learning)
📍 Tools I know (Discord, Notion, Lens, Snapshot, etc.)
📍 A short Loom video introducing myself
📍 A sample contribution (e.g., summarizing a project’s AMA or creating a simple Web3 explainer thread)
✅ I’d live in Web3 spaces & community hubs.
Every day, I’d:
📍 Join 𝕏 Spaces hosted by projects
📍 Engage in Discord channels (GM, answer questions, share resources)
📍 Search 𝕏 for “community mod,” “content contributor,” “bounty,” “Web3 job”
📍 Check platforms like
@deworkxyz,
@zealy_io, and
@bountycaster
✅ I’d cold-DM 5–10 people daily like this:
Hey [Name], I saw you’re building [Project]. I’m a Web3 [role] and I can help with [X skill]. I made [sample/idea] for your project to show what I mean.
I’m looking to grow in Web3, and I’m happy to start with a trial contribution.
✅ I’d contribute before asking for a role.
It could be designing a simple infographic, moderating a call, or writing a community recap. In Web3, proof of work beats promises. Once people see you in action, opportunities open up.
✅ I’d stop stressing about “perfect” Web3 knowledge.
You don’t need to understand every protocol or write smart contracts to start. If you can manage a Telegram group, write posts, research trends, or onboard newbies, that’s value.
✅ Once I land my first contribution, I’d document it publicly.
“Here’s how I got my first paid gig in Web3 in 14 days as a complete newbie.” That post will attract other builders and projects looking for contributors.
It’s not magic. It’s visibility, speed, and showing you can deliver.
If you’re serious about thriving in Web3, stop just reading threads. Start contributing like your next opportunity depends on it because it does.
