My #Bitcoin story is probably the most common one. I saw the price going up one day and thought to myself, “hey, I want in on this too.” After initially looking into it and realizing I would need to set up an account on a “crypto exchange” I started to second guess myself. Is this safe? It seems kinda sketchy. How do I know which crypto exchange to use? I feel like I could get easily scammed. I debated this for a few weeks until I finally decided to bite the bullet. I acquired my first sats and realized that it wasn’t so scary after all. As most bitcoin cycles go, I experienced large price drawbacks and some serious questioning of my own decisions. But I decided to stay the course and learn more about what exactly this mysterious technology was all about. If it weren’t for this app and the bitcoin community on here I probably would have ended up like some of my friends who bought $100 worth and sold it for $50. But the wealth of information I have come across here has changed the course of my life forever. While it might sometimes feel that we are shouting into an echo chamber, our words do reach beyond the small bitcoin community that populate our follower counts. One person at a time, the dominoes will fall in the same way as we all have. Let’s keep going. This work is thankless but it is necessary to make the world a better place.
