Labour is now committed to its section 28 on steroids Let’s remember: section 28 was a horrendous law that intimidated teachers and others, suppressed the dissemination of information about homosexuality. It was homophobic and it was awful. But it did not create a criminal offence. It did not prescribe penalties. The Labour Party’s draft bill to ban “conversion practices” is also homophobic. It also sets out to suppress the dissemination of information. But it is far, far worse than section 28 It will criminalize a parent who says: “No, you’re a boy. Maybe you’re gay. That’s fine: Let’s get you some therapy to explore the causes of your distress.” It will criminalize a parent who says “No, I refuse to pay for binders, blockers, testosterone. You’re a girl. It’s fine to be a lesbian.” Such conversations may cause extreme distress. The minor may call them abusive. We’re talking about a criminal offence of refusing to allow your child to take harmful drugs. Of suggesting she might be a lesbian - not a boy. Of refusing to go along with her insistent demands. ***With a potential 5-year prison sentence.•*** Let’s stop Labour’s Section 28! We will not accept this latest iteration of anti gay and anti lesbian legislation - however well it is dressed up to look “progressive.”

The problem with persuading Democrats to make a U-turn on pediatric gender transition is that they can’t bear to consider for a second that they are complicit in a huge medical scandal. It’s too awful. The enormity of what they’ve done - what they are still doing - to children is too great: their brains freeze when confronted with the truth.

Yesterday’s scenes in Central London show how difficult it will be to put the genie of gender identity doctrine back in the bottle. Most public and private sector leaders still cower before this mob - and their internal TQ+ networks. If I had wanted to destabilize leftwing movements across the Western world, I could not have devised a better plan than to propagate a cult belief that some women are men, some men are women, and some people need hormones and surgery to be “their real selves”. This cult has claimed - is still claiming - many victims. Leaders now have to develop a spine, learn how to say no to zealots, and help restore a sane approach to social justice.

Dr Beth Upton is a heterosexual man who claims that he is female. He also maintains that there is no such thing as male and female bodies. This is the anti-science, misogynistic, homophobic Stonewall doctrine - as testified previously in court by a Stonewall representative at the Allison Bailey hearing in 2022. It has seeped into all our institutions and most people are afraid to challenge it. Some few do dare. #IStandWithSandiePeggie

If you were born male and are an adult, you are a man. There is nothing wrong with being a man. It is absolutely fine to be a man. The word “man” is not a term of abuse. If you are a man and insist on going into spaces designated for lesbians or for women in general, even after it has been made clear to you that you are making some of those women feel uncomfortable, you are a predator. If you actually take a woman to court because she stands up for her right to single-sex spaces, you are not just the worst sort of man but one of the worst kinds of predators.

On this day two years ago, in a tribunal case brought by Mermaids - a failed bid to strip LGB Alliance of its charitable status - Kate Harris was driven to tears at being forced by Mermaids’ barrister to defend the definition of “lesbian”. When she recovered, she said: “I’m going to speak for millions of lesbians around the world who are lesbians because we love other women. We will not be erased and we will not have any man with a penis tell us he’s a lesbian because he feels he is”. Lesbians are a small minority. We do need other people - as Kate said at the Lesbian Strength event in Leeds yesterday - in our fight to oppose the ongoing attempts to undermine and erase our sexual orientation.

After repeated warnings, Stonewall is still saying on LinkedIn: “It's important to remember that the ruling hasn’t gone through the parliamentary process yet.” Once again, for those at the back - and those who haven’t yet understood that this is disinformation: the ruling explained the existing law. The law became the law in 2010 by going through the parliamentary process to make it a law. That is how it became a law. The ongoing campaign of disinformation is reprehensible and needs to be halted.

I think many women will be relieved to hear @wesstreeting say that new single-sex rules for the NHS are coming soon. My opponent in the BBC #AntiSocial programme argued that hardly anyone has ever objected to the presence of “transwomen” (i.e. men) in women’s single-sex wards. I pointed out that women will generally not complain, for diverse reasons. After the broadcast I received the following message, which I am re-posting here with the person’s consent: “Just wanted to say, thank you for arguing the case for single sex spaces on hospital wards. My mum was flashed repeatedly on a female ward by a trans woman with a penis. As a survivor of sexual violence she was petrified and struggled to sleep. Because it was Brighton and all the nurses had progress flags on we were too scared to report it. We didn’t want her treatment to be impacted by the nurses view of her as being a ‘transphobe’.”

Dear people who identify as “transgender”. Those who welcome the Supreme Court ruling do not hate you or deny your existence. We do not want to erase you or remove you from public life. You have the same rights as everyone else. You are rightly protected from discrimination - under the protected characteristic of “gender reassignment” - in the areas covered by the Equality Act. You should never be harassed: if I saw one of you being harassed in the street I would speak up in your defence. Your rights are the same now as they were last week, last year - in fact, when the Equality Act was enacted in 2010. All that has happened is that the disinformation spread about the law - by those such as Stonewall who essentially pretended we had self-ID - has been corrected. This clarification should never been necessary. We all have to inhabit this society together. We need to respect each other’s boundaries. Not everything is “inclusive”. Homosexuality is not “inclusive”. Women do not include men. Placards threatening violence to women are completely unacceptable and are harming your cause. If you want to argue for a change in the law, there are proper procedures to try to do so. But the UK does not have and does not want gender self-ID.

A couple of things about Robin Moira White and the toilets at the Houses of Parliament. 1. Robin Moira White sincerely believes (as far as I can tell) that he is a woman. 2. He isn’t. I hope people hear the word “kindness” and realize the kindness is very selective. The plea is blatant emotional manipulation: It means: * please “muster kindness” for the men and boys who want to compete in women’s and girls’ sport - and not for the women and girls who are disadvantaged. * please “muster kindness” for those who say earnestly that some kids are “born in the wrong body” and need drugs and surgery to “be their true selves” - but not for all the detransitioners, the confused teenage lesbians who expose this lie; nor for the desperate parents who are losing their children to a billion-dollar medical industry. We see you. The “kindness” you advocate is claiming growing numbers of victims. More people are understanding this every day. Yes - and many of them are right there with you in the House. They know about your links to organizations like Gendered Intelligence. There was mention of the withdrawal from the Paris climate accords, plans to leave WHO, and plans to curb immigration. Not one word about the most popular Executive Order: the acknowledgment of binary sex and the dismantlement of the entire apparatus of gender identity doctrine that has trashed women’s rights, negated LGB rights, and undermined child safeguarding. It was this issue, more than any other, that swayed swing voters to switch from Democrat to Republican, and it led millions of lifelong Democrats to stay home in November. Parents were told - by people they thought were experts - that dire consequences would ensue if their children were not given access to puberty blockers. Stonewall told managers and employees that “transwomen” were entitled to enter women’s single-sex spaces and sports. It encouraged public and private sector organizations to “go beyond the law” in the hope that this would make gender self-ID the de facto - and eventually de jure - reality. Civil servants and officials around the country have promoted the message that trans-identifying people should be treated in accordance with their “gender identity”. Worst of all, children have been encouraged to believe it’s possible to change sex, and that they will be accepted for all purposes as the opposite sex. All these lies and misrepresentations have caused immense damage. Some of the protests have been repulsive and inexcusable. But the angry, distraught trans-identifying people we are hearing from were lied to by thousands of people who should have known better. When you’ve been living a lie, the truth is very painful. Being left wing used to be about favoring progressive taxation in order to fund good public services - schools, public transport, hospitals, libraries etc - especially for those with limited financial resources. It used to be about opposing racism, sexism, antisemitism, and homophobia, and creating a society that works for everyone. Today’s “left” - in many countries - has spun off into a wilderness of vacuous slogans, intolerance, and willful ignorance. It’s a tragedy.

Great from ⁦@alexmassie⁩: “It does not matter how often Upton says ‘I am not a man’. It does not matter, because he is male. A man biologically and a man legally too. Saying something does not make it true, no matter how often it is said.” thetimes.com/article/b73c5e6…

For years, women and LGB people have been highlighting and combating a misogynistic, unlawful takeover of UK institutions by the gender identity cult. The law has now been clarified. But captured institutions from the civil service to trade unions are openly defying the law. This is a serious situation. Without the rule of law, society descends into chaos.

When Stonewall was warned by SexMatters and others that its false assertion that the Supreme Court ruling was “not yet the law” was disinformation, they changed it to “It's important to remember that the ruling hasn’t gone through the parliamentary process yet.” This is just as bad. It doesn’t need to go through a parliamentary process. It’s the law. It has been the law since 2010 - despite the constant misrepresentations. Advising sports and other bodies to wait before acting in accordance with the law is advising them to break the law. At this point, such advice looks malicious, designed to foment unrest.

Hi there Mitch! No one is “on the wrong side of the law” because of an ill-advised accusation. And unless we’re living in an Orwellian dystopia, no one is “on the wrong side of the law” for telling the truth. I’m going to go out on a limb here and suggest you probably haven’t made an in-depth study of Differences of Sexual Development (DSDs). I’m going to suggest you haven’t followed the detailed explanations of the scientists @FondOfBeetles @SwipeWright @coachblade @Scienceofsport and others of the specific DSD 46,XY (5-ARD). I’m going to suggest you are unaware that scouts go looking for individuals with this rare medical disorder because they will possess a huge advantage if wrongly entered in women’s sport events. Because they go through male puberty - which confers an irreversible advantage. That’s why we have women’s sports, Mitch. And unless you think we should abolish women’s sports, I think you should turn your attention to something you know more about.

Please use clear language. Women’s football is for women. The people barred from women’s football are men. The reason they are barred from it - and expected to play in the men’s sport - is that they are men. If you call them “transgender women”, much of the public is confused - as a YouGov poll showed - and thinks you’re talking about people born female who now identify as “trans”.

I see. You expected or hoped that the FA would act counter to the law and provide “sanctuary” to men who “identify” as women? I’m really puzzled. I’m even more puzzled to read your comment that the decision is “hurting women”. George: this makes no sense. It also ignores the thousands of women athletes, biologists, sports scientists, and women’s groups who have been calling for this correction for years.

When you hear that women’s and LGB rights activists appear on GB News, and are quoted in the Mail and the Telegraph, don’t ask “Why only in the right wing media?”, ask “Why do the Guardian and the BBC refuse to interview those who can explain why sex-based rights are crucial to women’s safety, privacy and dignity and to the rights of LGB people?”

What is weird about John Oliver’s rant is not just that he says completely false things about boys in girls’ sport and displays not an iota of empathy for the girls affected. The weirdest thing is that he and so many Dems are unwilling to reflect for one millisecond on the evidence that this issue proved decisive for undecided voters and to wonder if they might need to change their position. Or at least to think about it. It seems they just don’t care. It’s almost as if the Democrats have morphed into a campaigning movement for identity politics. Which is tragic.
It’s really sad that John Oliver has ruined liking John Oliver for me. I wasn’t even athletic as a teen, but I would have rather died than change in front of a boy in the locker room, and I think most of the boys would have felt the same. You can’t “explain” people out of this.

Millicent Fawcett fought for women’s rights all her life. Today her statue was defaced with a homophobic slur by “trans activists” furious at the Supreme Court’s detailed clarification of the words “sex” and “woman” in the UK Equality Act. Let’s be clear: this “protest” consisted of a mob of petulant narcissists who expected the world to bend to their will. Fawcett’s famous quote “Courage calls to Courage” speaks to the women, lesbians and gays who refused to bend - who would not, will not “wheesht”!

What an incredible relief. The Supreme Court understood that sexual orientation is about biological sex. It understood that including men (with or without a certificate) in lesbian associations would mean “a loss of autonomy and dignity for lesbians”. I feel extremely emotional about this ruling. I feel seen. Lesbians were finally seen today. Thank you so much @ForWomenScot for giving us the opportunity to emerge from invisibility. And thanks to our wonderful legal team led by Karon Monaghan and @peter_daly - who found the cause of lesbian rights so important and so long neglected that they took on this case pro bono.

Let’s unpack that, shall we? Let’s say there’s a lesbian social, for lesbians to get together and maybe hook up with someone. Do you have empathy with them? It’s nice they have their own “safe space”, isn’t it? Then here comes a guy who “identifies” as a lesbian and he demands to be admitted to the lesbian social. Some of the lesbians don’t mind, but many do. Who do you empathize with? The lesbians who want a social for themselves or the man who calls himself a lesbian who insists they let him in? You could have mixed socials for people who don’t mind. But don’t lesbians deserve any space for themselves?

What a disgusting betrayal of women. But it’s no surprise. Amnesty capitulated to the gender identity industry years ago. * Along with all other major “human rights” organizations; * and “LGBTQIA+” organizations. * And government and corporate funded “women’s” / “feminist” organizations.
When you tell people the IOC is ruining women’s sport, that Amnesty International and UN Women are trashing women’s rights, that GLAAD, HRC, UK Stonewall actively oppose the rights of lesbians, people new to these issues look incredulous. Then most of them shrug and look away.

The thing is: “Trans women” are men. “Trans lesbians” are straight men. For years it was forbidden to say so. On this platform, before Musk’s takeover - yes, he did something good - those who pointed these truths out were banned. The lies and confusion were sown deliberately. Now society has to find its way back to sanity. Let’s all play our part: speak the truth without hedging, but also without abuse.

Disgusting behaviour. Whether or not you agree with KJK’s views, she is fully entitled to express them. As are the other women at her events. We must protect freedom of speech in the UK. It is despicable that men continue to harass and attack women who wish to gather and discuss their rights - and that politicians do not condemn this rising tide of misogyny.

After banning female education, many Afghan girls turned to online schools. Now, with the internet ban, even that last lifeline for their learning is being taken away by the Taliban’s oppressive regime.

In the past 24 hours we have been lectured by a string of senior BBC journalists who - even now - refuse to accept that the BBC has for years been an instrument of genderist propaganda - and who certainly cannot face the awful truth of how this happened. It was not unfortunate mistakes by juniors. It was BBC policy - mandated from the top.
1./ 🧵What’s infuriating about the likes of @DAaronovitch, John Simpson and Rusbridger dismissing claims of BBC bias as politically inspired is the public complained about bias for years. This was @piersmorgan calling out BBC schools material that listed 100+ genders. In 2019!
