Palestinian statehood has never been tested. In fact the 2005 disengagement was explicitly designed by to prevent a Palestinian state.
But the real question is:
Who invited an outspoken advocate for the starvation of Palestinians to Brown?
It is often conveniently ignored that the hypothesis that the only thing that stood between Israel and peace with the Palestinians was land and Palestinian statehood was tested. Repeatedly. And it failed. Spectacularly. It’s not a matter of opinion. It is empirical:
