This just happened to me yesterday.
I sold 1499.25 USDT to AUSTIN CHAKA AJA-NGENE (via @joinkuda). He made the payment, I released the USDT, and then he flagged it as fraud. Within 20 minutes, the exact amount was frozen.
I tried reaching out to him, but he ignored me completely. When I contacted my bank, they informed me that the sender had filed a complaint, and the only way to resolve this was to convince the scammer to instruct their bank to release the funds. Today, I tried buying USDT from him, and I got his number — 09013026424. I called to ask him to release the money, then afterwards, he switched off his phone.
I have already raised a dispute on Bybit, but I really need help spreading the word so that Bybit can take action against these scammers. Too many people are falling victim to this!
