The
#SCOTUS decision today on
#WOTUS is not only a major win for our nation’s farmers and ranchers, it is a win for representative government.
For too long executive branch bureaucrats have conducted themselves as quasi-lawmakers—writing and rewriting rules and regulations affecting huge sections of the economy. Our Founders would be appalled.
I’m excited that SCOTUS is moving in a direction to rein in executive agencies like the
#EPA, and reinvigorate legislative prerogatives. Still, it is up to Members of
#Congress to stand up for the authorities granted by the
#Constitution and guard those powers in the face of an increasingly out-of-touch executive branch.
