The trio of Alex Amalfi, Dillon Ryan, and Ethan Errera set the program record for K's in a game with 21 yesterday against FSU. Amalfi and Ryan both had 9 K's in 4 innings to begin the 2022 season, while Errera had 3 K’s in 1 inning of work. #RollBeacs#FeedTheMeter

We had 3 of our Beacons play in the Cape Cod Baseball League.
Before signing as a NDFA with the Blue Jays, Amalfi (Firebirds) pitched 17 Innings with 19 K’s.
Metzdorf (Firebirds) batted .419 in 8 games, with 13 hits & 7 RBIs.
Dexter (Gatemen) went 2.1 innings, 2 K’s & 0 runs.

Today’s player spotlight is #7, Downtown Danny Brown as Coach calls him MR. Excitement. DB was a stud for us and sad to see his senior season cut short. He was the leader of the No Fly Zone in the OF and a threat on offense. Bunt hits, 2 HR games and killer speed. Thank you DB!

Our Captains for our 2022 season have been selected. Nico Kydes will continue with his role of captain for his second year in a row. The senior catcher from Stamford, CT picked up his first All-Conference selection in 2021. #RollBeacs

In last nights game, Dillon Ryan broke the all time Beacons Strikeout record of 234 which was set by Nick Conway (2005-2008). The record was broken when he recorded his 2nd K of the game. Ryan would finish the night with 9 Ks bringing his career total to 242 strikeouts #RollBeacs
Introducing our 2023 Captains: Timmy Cianciolo will continue with his role of captain for the 2023 season. The Senior RHP from New Milford, CT appeared in 11 games last year striking out 50 in his 45.1 innings of work.

This Future Beacon Friday focuses on a switch hitting infielder from Highland Village, Texas @bostyn_burris2. He attended Marcus high school and played travel ball for Texas republic baseball. Bostyn will be majoring in Data Science and we’re excited to see him in the fall!
