Un viaje que comenzó en 2022 y que continúa con un compromiso a largo plazo con la diversidad, la inclusión y la sostenibilidad. El nuevo equipo representado por @LaiaSanz_ y #MaurizioGerini, por segundo año consecutivo; y #PatriciaPita y #PaoloBoggioni, supone un hito notable en la categoría T1 del Dakar, al ser el primer equipo liderado por un dúo íntegramente femenino.
También hemos dado un paso adelante en términos de sostenibilidad y rendimiento, reforzando nuestro liderazgo en el uso de e-combustible, con un 100% de combustible sintético - no sólo nuestros buggies de competición, el astara 02 Concept, sino también todo el equipo y los vehículos de apoyo, consiguiendo una Huella de Carbono Neutra.

El compromiso de astara con la huella de carbono no conoce barreras, ni siquiera en el Rally Dakar 2024.
Nuestro equipo va un paso más allá al incorporar combustibles de fuentes renovables en todos los vehículos de competición y apoyo. Se destaca especialmente el uso de combustible sintético por ser "neutro en carbono", ya que las emisiones durante la carrera se capturan en la fase de producción del combustible. El equipo astara se compromete a compensar la huella restante hasta lograr la neutralidad de emisiones, reforzando su dedicación a la sostenibilidad en el ámbito de la competición.
Siguiendo las prácticas de años anteriores, llevaremos a cabo la medición, informe y compensación de la huella de carbono completa del equipo astara al final de cada competición. Esto implica el análisis directo e indirecto de las emisiones de gases de efecto invernadero, incluso aquellas generadas por terceros asociados con la participación del equipo.

After a last-minute rule change in the 48-hour special stage, our team had to step up. We adjusted the team's strategy and went out with a new plan in this very special stage. With the stage already finished for the day, we demonstrated - once more - that competing at Dakar is possible while taking care of the environment.

🇬🇧Today was a tough day. The car worked very well and we were running at a safe but quick pace. At one point, there were some photographers on a dune and as I was paying attention to them, I went into a hole. We lost a lot of time, but we managed to get out.

#AstaraTeam achieves net zero emissions balance at #Dakar for the third consecutive year, thanks to 100% renewable synthetic fuel. And we outdid ourselves! We measured 33.71 tons of #CO2emissions this year, 11.86 tons less than last year. How will we offset the CO2 emissions? Our team’s impact will be offset by collaborating with the Vichada Project to reforest degraded areas in Colombia. 👏👏
