A statement from the Anishinabek Nation Eshki-niigijig Advisory Council in Opposition to Bill 5:
ALT The Anishinabek Nation youth stand in firm opposition to Bill 5.
This bill threatens our lands, waters, and futures. It undermines environmental protections and silences Indigenous voices at every level. Our Nation has a responsibility to protect the land - not for profit, but for the future generations. We will not be ignored. We will not stand down. Bill 5 has no place on our territories and Must Be Stopped.
