We are thrilled to announce a first-of-its-kind genealogy-focused partnership with @Ancestry! As part of Getty Images’ HBCU Grants Program, this initiative focuses on the digital preservation and accessibility of historical documents, records and the photographic archives of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). The partnership was initiated with @LincolnUofPA whose historical archives date back to 1854. Ancestry and Getty Images have already started digitizing vital documents with Lincoln's library staff, including the Lincolnian, deteriorating records and hundreds of photographs from Lincoln's archival collection. Christine Lewis, who will be watching the #Coronation2023 with a G&T, cucumber sandwich and slice of Victoria sponge, discovered her connection to the crown though a combination of Family History research and a DNA test with @Ancestry
'Having this connection to a period of significant history in Britain is fantastic and gives me a link to Henry VIII, whose son would be my cousin many times removed.' ✍️ Christine Lewis writes for @MetroOpinion trib.al/enJf4Y7

When @MattChorley and @MariellaF1 met @Ancestry ProGenealogist Laura House on #TimesRadio for a breakdown of their DNA results, much mirth ensued, along with some fascinating shared roots.
“I’m excited that I’m more Irish than you!” “I’m really upset that you’re more Irish than me.” @MattChorley and @MariellaF1 find out if they’re related as genealogist Laura House explains how saliva can reveal genetic heritage. @HouseGenealogy | #TimesRadio
