I was living with a girl for several years, we'd gotten engaged, and she had asked could she go visit one of her girl friends in Kentucky. Was gonna stay a few weeks with her around Christmas. Thanks to a friend I found out that it was really a guy she'd met online and had been talking to for months that she was "Visiting". I never let on that I knew. Once she gave me the address I packed up everything she owned in 8 large boxes and spent about $600 FedEx'ing it all to her with a letter that said "Tell David I said hi and congrats. You are his problem now. You don't have a home to come back to." I didn't see her again for two years.

My in laws have a little place in Southwest Montana. The closest gas station is 65 miles away. They have a tank and gas pump in their driveway. Winters can get 40 below and it can snow 18 to 24 inches a day. Plow service rolls through once a week and grizzlies and mountain lions are your neighbors. You need either a snowmobile or a 4 wheel drive, and survival gear (blankets, food, heat packs, etc) and guns if you plan on going somewhere in winter. If you ever wanna know what it's like to wake up on the surface of the moon.. it's pretty close haha.
