Most people would probably accept tax hikes if there was a noticed improvement in the social services these taxes allegedly pay for. Except that has never been the case, the quality and service of social services has actually nosedived over the last few decades, yet the price of them keeps going up.
We have to keep paying more and more for less and less. I remember a time where you could actually get a doctor to come to your house, in current year you have to beg and plead your case to some receptionist who is not medically qualified in any way yet they are the ones who decide if you can maybe get a 10 minute phone call from a doctor in about 4 weeks.
This is why tax hikes are being rejected, not just because taxation literally is theft, but because people are being forced to pay more for even less. This trend has continued for decades and people are getting sick of paying the government £20 to receive £1 worth of (really shit) service in return.
It will eventually reach the point where you are forking over most of your wages for literally nothing in return, that's exactly what this trend is heading towards.

A: poor forest management and prevention measures, empty reservoirs, unqualified hires and leadership, slashing funding and failure to replace equipment, various potential arsonists.
B: climate change, oil companies, corporations, unregulated capitalism.
On X and in their media, the propaganda campaign is in full swing:
Democrats are deliberately pushing the (B) narrative to divert attention from their colossal failures (A) knowing what they’re saying is not true, but is politically expedient. They are shifting the blame (and the costs). These people are liars.
But many people actually believe (B) is real. They honestly believe California could have avoided this if it were even more leftist (!!!!) These people are the true believers of the leftist cult (retards).
Whether they believe their lies or not is inconsequential. The fact that they will act upon it and that everybody else must bear the consequences of leftists choosing to ignore reality is catastrophic.
Understand that they will refuse to acknowledge their failures and anticipate a federal-level attack the cost of which you will be asked to bear.
