This was arguably a bigger officiating gaffe than the targeting no call.
ASU had some things go its way too. But the bottom line is that the crew was TURRIBLE.
Another disappointing miss from this game. The block by 21 is clearly an illegal blindside block and should have been a 15-yd penalty from the spot of the foul.
It was a tough game for this crew. I watched Big Ten officiating almost every Saturday night and believe they are as good, if not better, than any staff in the college football. Unfortunately, this was a tough game for them.

(1) Starkville exceeded my expectations after I was nervous that it would not be great. People were overwhelmingly friendly.
I did get hit by a couple of projectiles when MSU scored the last TD but the guys taking credit were not in either team’s gear.

They offer amazing game weekend environments unlike the half-assed efforts many Pac schools put forth. We’ll be visiting there for sporting events, not moving there.
