Bridging AIPG to Ethereum
AIPG Community, we want to prepare you all for the upcoming bridge of
$AIPG on the Ethereum network. Initially, we'll support ERC-20 due to its widespread integration. We may consider
$SOL in the future. Many of you might already be familiar with the process, but here's how it'll work for both wrapping (minting) to wAIPG and unwrapping (burning) back to AIPG:
1. Users will visit the bridge platform on our website. Link will be provided when it goes live.
2. Choose to initiate wrapping or unwrapping.
3. For wrapping:
* You'll get a unique AIPG address linked to the bridge.
* Transfer AIPG to this address.
* Upon confirmation, provide your
$ETH address.
* wAIPG tokens are minted to your ETH address.
4. For unwrapping:
* Indicate your AIPG return address.
* Send wAIPG to the bridge's given ETH address.
* Receive AIPG back after confirmation.
Please note, as in any ERC20 related transaction, Ethereum network fees apply for both actions. High traffic can lead to increased fees.
While not finalized, the AIPG team is discussing a minimal tax on these transactions to fund AIPG's development and operations. This additional amount will be prioritized toward exchange listings. Details to be confirmed.
Development Status: Testing of the bridge code and interface is commencing this week. Once completed, we will share another announcement once it is live.
Why Wrap? For those of you wondering "Why wrap"? Well, as a Layer 1 coin, we have some limitations, and integrating with other wallets is costly and takes some time. By having a wrapped version, you will be able to store wAIPG on more of your favorite wallets. Those reluctant to purchase using one of the five exchanges we're currently on will now be able to purchase wAIPG using DEXs which will broaden our exposure.
BEWARE OF SCAMS: We will stress this as much as possible when we officially launch the bridge platform, but as always, pay close attention to our website URL, the URL for the bridge, and the token address. There's already fake AIPG tokens on CoinMarketCap that was automatically pulled in from dextools and is not associated with
$AIPG. We tried to get
@CoinMarketCap to remove it, but they said no and that users should do their own research.
We imagine more fake
$AIPG tokens will pop up after we launch the bridge platform. If you use other swap platforms like Uniswap or Metamask, then make sure the token address for the wrapped AIPG is correct. If you're ever unsure about anything, come talk to the team directly on the official Discord
discord.gg/vZ9XrTSRYr or official Telegram
t.me/aipowergrid and make sure you talk to an admin (TG) or Core Team member or Server Mods (Discord). There's also a fake telegram group right now that copy pastes messages from our Discord wallet help channel into TG to make themselves look legit. Be careful out there.
Stay tuned for updates regarding its official launch!
