Amy Huber (student) and Rachel Bailey, Florida State University, for The Influence of Mediated Healthcare Environments on Preventative Healthcare-Seeking Intentions
Amy Huber, M.S., is a design educator and Ph.D. student in the School of Communication at Florida State University. Huber came to pursue a Ph.D. in Communication after years of teaching a health care design studio course, during which her underrepresented students frequently noted more anxieties about visiting health care environments and attending routine medical screenings. With these students in mind, Huber seeks to aim her research program at mitigating healthcare in equalities through an interdisciplinary understanding of the intersections between communication, human perception, and the built environment.
