The reason why the BMW’s fail here is because BMW is a performance oriented brand, they like to place Air Intake in lower areas so that cooler air enters the engine for better performance ( the cooler the air that enters your engine, the better it performs ).
So, when the BMW’s drive through water…water finds its way into the engine and “Hydrolock” happens.
The engine hooks because water is inside and the cylinders cannot travel their normal distance.
Air is compressible but water is not…
it’s also worth noting that the Supercars easily pass because their engine is at the back.
The front is EMPTY…nothing can be affected by water there
