Internet is such an amazing place. I have been pondering upon the Ethical nature of AI Art and the tension between traditional and AI artists and then I see this piece.
I think more AI Art should be inventive and disruptive like this. AI is a new medium a new skill and if we use it to replicate what has so far been done traditionally its a waste of potential.

This is the only direction that makes long term stance. Comics are not meant to be scarce.

Why are we doing this?
We believe that Opepen is well positioned to be one of the most prestigious completely digital NFT art museum and we want to ensure comic as an art form is well represented in the permanent collection and we are the ones to do it. Also in way this allows us to take Pepe back to his roots, being a comic character.

Nocturne 21, is probably one of the most underrated Indie comic right now. The art is incredible, the story flows really well.
The only short coming that I can think of is that it gets a bit text heavy at times.

Havent thought of the set breakdown in detail yet but sharing some guiding thoughts at this point. Opepen symbolism in the comic can come up in the following way
- In the environment ( ref neighbourhood set by @random_freaks or Permanence by @dutchtide or Cypherpunk by @dangiuz )
- In the scene structure/page layout ( ref set by @lphaCentauriKid )
- Within the character design/individual panel ( ref Metamorphisis by @LikeLewis or Opps and Oppetes by @piv)
- Or Obvious/Hidden easter eggs ( ref Onpepe by @jhekub )
From a comic standpoint the
1:1 could be the cover page of the comic
1:4 could be double splash pages
1:5 could be single splash pages
1:10 could be character introductions
1:20 could be wall braking panels
1:40 could be cool easter eggs
This is not final yet and will likely evolve as we start storyboarding the comic

One personal reflection:
Sontag and Barthes both argue over who gives art meaning.
But growing up around Indian art - much of it wasn’t interpreted.
It just was.
It lived in homes, temples, memories.
It didn’t explain itself.
It was felt.
