I've been reading some comments in response to this announcement, stating how it's completely expected and deserving that orgs are pulling back from feCS since we can't even qualify for events like cctv, and that we don't bring any value to the game.
We all know we aren't good enough to play against tier2/tier3 teams. How could we be, when we have a few hundred girls playing FACEIT vs tens of thousands of men grinding pugs even BEFORE hitting level 10?
We work everyday to improve ourselves, to show a better level of CS, but we're aware of our current skill ceiling. Our goal is to become better, to win and make our orgs and fans and family proud of us, but the main focus is towards bringing more girls into the game. To work towards a future where our current best players and teams would get easily outplayed by young girls coming into the scene. And this can only happen when girls can install CS and not feel out of place.
Currently, the only safe place for girls is Faceit, which is now heavily fighting against sexism and bullying. We all know that any CS player will only install faceit after hundreds, if not thousands of hours on Valve servers, where you improve yourself to a point where it naturally leads to playing on Faceit, and how many young girls will survive hundreds of hours of unsupervised sexism, harassment, etc on Valve servers? Boys also get flamed and bullied, which is also unacceptable, but usually is not because of your identity, of your gender. It's not targeted at who you are outside of the game. For girls, it is. To me this issue is as important as high visibility tournaments like ESL Impact
I know how many people are going to/have been flaming feCS lately, but the only thing we want is to see more girls on the game we love. We are fighting towards a future where any pug we play, we play on a server that has 5 girls in average. When this happens, then we can talk about girls playing against high tier players. Until then, we will keep working, playing, improving, hopefully inspiring young girls to install and grind CS, to play with and against us. Sorry for the long text 😬

I've been playing CS non-stop since I was 15 yo and it has been a dream come true. Lost friends, family time and countless sleeping nights. And I would do it all over again. I love Counter-Strike and I will not give it up. See you in the servers

Today, I say goodbye to BIG Equipa, a place I was lucky to call home for the past 3 years, and which gave me one of the most beautiful chapters in my life.
Representing BIG, with its structure, professionalism and the constant support from everyone working there, has been an incredible privilege. They gave me the possibility of turning a dream into reality: to live and breathe competitive Counter-Strike, while growing as a player and as a person, thanks to BIG’s high standards. I’ve gained a lot of friendships in and out of the server during these past years playing for Equipa, and I will always be lucky for that. Wearing this beautiful jersey will always be something that I feel proud about. I leave, filled with unforgettable moments from these past 3 years... All thanks to my teammates, my coach Musa, the staff, and the community behind BIG. Thank you for everything!!!
I’ve made the hard decision of leaving, and it wasn’t an easy choice, but I believe it is the right step forward in this moment of my career.

This whole faceit game was just pain, saying stuff like “ure not allowed to speak ure a woman” was not even top5 of sexist stuff they said. And once asked why they are like this they think saying “ure a woman you need to expect this when you decide to play video games” is acceptable… at least i had @vilgaCS to protect me as always 🙂
This is the discrimination we face daily as women athletes in competitive games.
I have been playing CS since 2005. Some ask me: “But you have played for so long, you must have a thick skin to all this toxicity by now?” And normally I answer: “Yes, I do”. But I don’t want to have a thick skin to play a game I love, where I want to develop as a professional and break new barriers. I don’t want to show strength and ignore, or fight back every time I am being harassed for my gender. I don’t want to feel like I don’t belong or that I am worse “by default”. And I WILL talk about this constantly until it’s changed for the better.
This video is just another of many examples. Two premades who started the game with “why do I have 2 women on my team” and were sexist to @zanaCS2 and me the whole game. Yet we tried to close our eyes to it and just did everything to win the game. When the game was won, we got a message “ez carry”.
When things go wrong, stop blaming others, but focus on yourself and your own mistakes instead. And let us play!
