Watch two men breaking their hearts wide open live on the radio. We gave it our all. Someone suggested I prerecord the end in case I cried, why? We always tried to be real not radio. x
After 12 years on the show, this was @OC and @RichieFirth's last link. What a ride. #chanks

Went to see a friend today who is dying of cancer. A fine and proud Australian and also a huge soccer fan who supports Arsenal. He said today “I hope to be dead by May so I don’t live to see Liverpool win the league”. Now that’s a fan.

This week I’ve joined a club, it’s the grief one A world opens up that you don’t really know exists of the funeral planning and choices and conversations you never thought you’d have to have My mother in law died suddenly at the weekend and she was a very present part of our lives since I married her daughter 26 years ago. I’m a witness to my wife’s journey with all she’s experiencing Today I went to clear out Jackie’s fridge and it BROKE me. I offered to do this small thing because I thought it would be easy. There was this powerful tenderness and finality to clearing out someone’s fridge Fridges contain possibilities of dinners to be made and enjoyed. They sustain our lives. It was the full bottle of milk for cups of tea what won’t now be drink that did it for me I made a cuppa for her and myself and sat on her couch

It’s hard to fully describe how exciting @oasis were, when they burst into our lives in 1994. They had it all, killer songs, the high wattage charisma, a genuine air of menace in Noel and Liams relationship, and a real unshakable mission to be the soundtrack to young Brits, who wanted a good time and to live a more exciting life. Two things I’d like to insist on though if all the reunion talk is true; 1. Don’t worry about any new stuff guys. 2. No one under the age 40 should be allowed to buy any tickets until the rest of us have got ours first.

We just had to say a heart shuddering goodbye to Nisha our gorgeous dog Ever since I was a kid I always wanted a German shepherd and I got the best one ever 10yrs ago. Calling her a ‘dog’ diminishes just what a special soul she was to our family Just 24/7 unconditional love and ever ready for shenanigans at the drop of a hat and the sound of her lead being gathered. She was a very special soul mate to our daughters in times of need and even let a cat and small yappy dog into her house without ever showing them nothing but motherly care I’ll miss her most at 4.30am as we always had a chat before I left for the radio show. The pat of your dogs head and sniff of the top of it is the presence of bliss. Thanks Nisha for looking after everyone, I’ll see you down the road for more walks and snuggles C x
