Dear Zion Williamson,
Thanks for being the best player college basketball has seen in an awfully long time.
It was one hell of a ride.
Best of luck in future endeavors.
Sincerely,
America
Dear St. Peter's,
Don't be sad that it's over --- cherish that it happened.
A salute to the first 15 seed to ever reach the Elite Eight.
Walk proud.
Today.
Tomorrow.
And Forever.
Sincerely,
America
Dear FDU,
Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.
Thanks for giving March Madness the GREATEST Cinderella in the history of the NCAA Tournament.
Sincerely,
America
12 years ago, a friend of mine from college was getting married.
His engagement party was Final Four weekend.
I was in Houston.
He didn't understand and got angry.
I missed the party and his wedding, but I saw Kemba Walker lead UConn to a title.
Life is about key decisions.
FDU's win over Purdue is the BIGGEST UPSET in the history of the NCAA Tournament.
Why?
Unlike UMBC in 2018 or St. Peter's in 2022, FDU did not earn an AQ --- Merrimack did, but was ineligible for the postseason
And unlike UMBC or St. Peter's, FDU came from the First Four.
North Carolina has one upped Duke for eternity.
And there is absolutely NOTHING that the Blue Devils will EVER be able to do about it.
The Tar Heels are heading to MONDAY NIGHT.
Dear Caleb Love,
Thanks for the last five years.
There were ups.
There were downs.
But you had an incredible impact on college basketball.
Walk proud.
Today.
Tomorrow.
And Forever.
Sincerely,
America
Dear Luka Garza,
Thank you for an outstanding career and representing everything that college basketball should be about.
We wish you the best in future endeavors --- you're a class act.
Sincerely,
America
Sources: Barstool Sports (@barstoolsports) is getting into the college basketball early season tournament business and will host the first ever "Barstool Classic" next season at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.
Official dates, teams, are matchups are still TBD.
13 years ago, a friend from college had his engagement party in March.
I was unable to attend.
He was angry and the relationship was never the same, but I always felt that he wasn't truly a great guy.
Then Kemba Walker happened.
Life always has a way of working itself out.

Today was our daughter's first Halloween Party at Daycare.
Sheer ANARCHY!
Kids were eating paint!
My wife asked: "Have you ever seen anything so crazy?"
I responded simply and said: "Yes. The 2008 NCAA Tournament in Tampa when four lower seeds won in the Round of 64."
Five years ago, Vanderbilt fired Bryce Drew after he lost Darius Garland for the season due to a knee injury.
Tonight, Drew led Grand Canyon to an NCAA Tournament win over Saint Mary's.
Vanderbilt is again looking for a coach.
It's funny how things work out.
My neighbor told me yesterday he and his wife were going to Paris today.
A good reminder that we're neighbors and NOT friends for a reason.
No trip to the Eiffel Tower is better than UC Irvine in the Big West semifinals.
Roy Williams did not have a farewell tour, but his imprints are ALL OVER tonight's national title game.
The two men who succeeded him at his two head coaching jobs --- Bill Self and Hubert Davis --- square off head-to-head tonight.
America!
Very excited to make my @CBSSports debut next month at @thesunshineslam!
Clemson. Penn State. Fordham. San Francisco. 4 games in 2 days in Daytona Beach to tip off Feast Week 2024.
College Basketball season is just two weeks away 🏀 @CBSSportsNet.
My wife is going to an engagement party tomorrow night.
I'll be working.
I know the couple --- they're beautiful people.
But having an engagement party at the same time as UConn/Illinois with the way Terrence Shannon Jr. playing is BOLD.
Remember: Life is about choices.

The NCAA is considering allowing five years of eligibility for players in all sports moving forward, per an NCAA official.
The topic will continue to be discussed in early 2025.
To the officials working today's game between Wisconsin and Iowa:
Congratulations.
You've successfully ruined a heck of a college basketball game.
Sincerely,
America
Six days ago, Stephen F. Austin lost at Rutgers by 12.
Tonight, it won a game against Duke at Cameron Indoor Stadium.

Nope. Just College Basketball.

Dear America,
Sports are on the verge of being cancelled.
The formula to getting back to any semblance of our way of life is NOT difficult.
WEAR A MASK.
SOCIALLY DISTANCE.
No other words are needed.
Sincerely,
JR
24 hours ago, Adrian Wojnarowski was an NBA Insider for ESPN.
Today, he's the GM of St. Bonaventure and will have a hand in whether or not the Atlantic 10 can remain a multi-bid league moving forward.
Anarchy?
Nope. Just College Basketball.
10 years ago, a friend of mine from college was getting married.
Engagement party was in March.
I had to pass.
He got angry, didn't understand.
Little did he know that the CAA was on its way to becoming a three-bid league.
I took a 6 AM flight out Columbus and we couldn't land at LaGuardia.
I'm now in Albany and they won't let us deplane.
I'm trying to tell these people that it's the first official day of March Madness.
We're not talking about kickball.
PROGRAMMING ALERT:
I will be joining my friends @BarstoolBigCat and @PFTCommenter tonight on @PardonMyTake for our annual visit on Selection Sunday.
A tradition unlike any other.
Christmas Eve 1991!
Changed my life FOREVER.
Wrote a note to Santa asking for a WWF wrestling buddy --- I had the entire collection except one.
Woke up at 6 AM the next morning and nothing was there.
I cried. And cried.
My mom had a simple response: "Jon, we're jewish."
To Whom It May Concern:
The NCAA Tournament is beautiful in its current form.
Don't ever change it.
Don't ever THINK about changing it.
Sincerely,
America
My wife works remote and was in an important meeting for the final minutes of Virginia-Furman.
I yelled louder than Mel Gibson in Braveheart after the final shot.
Professionally, the tournament is off to a great start.
Personally, she may change the locks by the Sweet 16.
Looking forward to joining @PardonMyTake tonight with @BarstoolBigCat and @PFTCommenter to discuss the 2022 NCAA Tournament.
A tradition unlike any other.
This is March.
Dear Ja Morant,
Keep your head up.
Your poise, ability, and leadership once again made Murray State one of the best mid-majors in all of college basketball.
Best of luck in future endeavors.

America

Dear America,
I will host an open rally in Central Park to protest expansion of the NCAA Tournament if this chatter continues.
If you don't live in the NYC area, you are more than welcome to fly in and attend.
We must stick together if and when crisis occurs.
Sincerely,
JR
I'm 17 days into Parenthood and every second feels like I'm in a buy game against Colgate and down 10 at the under 16 timeout of the second half.
This is ONLY the first month.
Purdue's last five years in the NCAA Tournament:
*Isaac Haas' elbow injury (2018)
*Loss to Virginia in the Elite Eight (2019)
*Lost to North Texas (2021)
*Sweet 16 defeat vs. St. Peter's (2022)
This is worse than all of them.
The Boilers have reached the Gates of Hell.
St. John's decision to hire Rick Pitino has changed its program, its university, and New York City.
I've said it before and I'll say it again:
If you have a chance to make a "can't-miss" hire, make the "can't-miss" hire.
