We were honored to welcome U.S. Secretary of Energy @SecretaryWright to Aalo's Critical Test Reactor for the live signing of the authorization permitting the reactor to go online. Secretary Wright toured the completed facility, viewed the reactor firsthand, and signed the plaque commemorating the CTR as one of the fastest reactor builds in modern American history. We're grateful for his steadfast commitment to the resurgence of nuclear energy in America. Advanced nuclear is seeing a remarkable revival in part through the Reactor Pilot Program, of which the Aalo Critical Test Reactor is part. The CTR will be followed by the Aalo-X power plant, our 10 MWe site targeting power operations in 2027. Following the Secretary's signature, our teams are working around the clock to fulfill the President's directive for at least three American-made advanced nuclear reactors to go critical by July 4th (EO 14301) - one step forward in the mission of EO 14300, the order to quadruple U.S. nuclear capacity by 2050.

Thanks to President Trump's Working Families Tax Cuts Act, @DOE_EDF announced American nuclear supply chain loans that will help unleash the commercial nuclear industry base.

Today at the Aalo-X campus, U.S. Secretary of Energy Chris Wright signed the approval to turn on the Aalo-X Critical Test Reactor (CTR). This authorizes Aalo to handle and use nuclear material having assured adequate protection of workers, the public, and the environment. This is the final regulatory step to enable reactor start-up. We thank DOE-ID and INL for their instrumental support. ⚡

US Energy Secretary Chris Wright has just signed the approval to turn on our first nuclear reactor at the Aalo-X site. And he did the signing live in person! We can now begin to load fuel.
