After over 20 years, our nutmeg tree has produced fruit 😲🌳
They are now ripe, as you can see from the vivid red covering that forms a lattice around the nutmeg seed.
The seed is used to make nutmeg and the lattice to make mace.

We bought an exhausted, steep-sided clay pit 60 metres deep, with no soil, 15 metres below the water table, and essentially gave it life 🌱🌴🍄🌺🌻

We’ve just welcomed three ancient olive trees into our Med Biome, giving them a new home after they were removed to make way for younger trees in Spain and Portugal. The giant evergreens are estimated to be up to 1,500 years old!
