The Avalanche Foundation has negotiated an agreement to repurchase all AVAX tokens previously sold to the Luna Foundation Guard (LFG) in April 2022, which is now awaiting approval from the Bankruptcy Court. This action ensures that LFG would not violate the original agreement’s restrictions on the tokens’ use and shields the tokens from the complexity of a bankruptcy trustee liquidation, while returning 1.97M AVAX to the Foundation’s holdings. This further enhances the Foundation’s ability to support the ongoing growth and development of the Avalanche ecosystem.

AgriFORCE Growing Systems (AGRI) announced today its plans to raise ~$550M to establish the first NASDAQ-listed company with a dedicated AVAX strategy. To bootstrap its AVAX accumulation strategy, AGRI will use a portion of the cash proceeds raised to purchase locked AVAX from the Avalanche Foundation. Purchased tokens are subject to a long-term lock-up schedule that permits staking and other uses. The cash proceeds received by the Foundation will be strategically deployed to support ecosystem growth, including investments in RWAs, purchases of AVAX and AVAX DAT shares. The Avalanche Foundation remains committed to using its treasury to advance adoption and long-term sustainability.

(AVAT), an ecosystem-aligned digital asset treasury company with an exclusive relationship with Avalanche Foundation, today announced a definitive business combination agreement with Mountain Lake Acquisition Corp. (Nasdaq: MLAC) valued at over $675M. AVAT's goal is to own a sizable reserve of AVAX so as to participate as a foundational partner in the growing Avalanche ecosystem. Led by Bart Smith, who brings two decades of Wall Street experience as an early pioneer in bridging traditional finance and digital assets, AVAT’s advisory board also includes managing partners from Dragonfly Capital, Blockworks, and Aave.
