Bad competition?
Patriots QB Drake Maye is 16 of 22 for 250 yards, 3 TDs, 1 INT and a 130.7 passer rating with 53 rushing yards through three quarters against the No. 1 defense in the NFL.

The bears fans who suddenly became OL experts in February of 2025 told me he was better than Kelvin Banks btw
It was a night to forget for rookie OT Josh Conerly Jr (56 pass pro snaps): • 9 pressures • 5 hurries • 3 sacks • 1 QB hit ~ 21.7 pass pro effectiveness grade

Drake is gonna be a star.
Drake Maye through Week 3: • Cmp (#4) • Cmp% (#2) • Pass Yds (#5) • Pass TDs (T-#7) • Passer Rating (#9) • Catchable-Throw Rate (#4) • Total 1st Downs (T-#1) • CPOE (#5) • EPA/Play (#8) • INTs (T-#13) Don’t take this type of play from a 23-year-old for granted…

Scheme is so important when having a conversation about a QB's completion %. How many easy completions are baked into the system is an important question to ask

Mahomes presnap ability is a superpower. A lot of talk about his physical traits but this is just as lethal
On Kelce’s TD, Mahomes saw the CB blitz coming from the left and instead of throwing hot, he ran away from the blitz knowing he had a big play to the right Good call by Minter. Diabolical by Mahomes

This is worth a read, Bobby does the best work I've seen when it comes to offensive schemes/playcall tendencies
I strongly disagree with this sentiment. When the game script gets away from you, you end up calling more of your early down drop backs than you had planned. Going to repeat more calls. The best play callers in the NFL find ways to get to the same play call every week. The exact concept referenced here was called 6 times by Kyle Shanahan in the 49ers Seahawks playoff game of the 2022 season. Joe Brady called “Levels” variations at least 8 times in week 1. Over the course of two weeks the Bears have called most of the Johnson staple concepts. They haven’t limited Caleb to a small fraction.
