Now through July 7, the Declaration of Independence will be projected onto the facade of our flagship 42nd Street building at sundown during a special weeklong display.
The projection is part of NYPL’s commemoration of America’s 250th, which includes free exhibitions, displays, programs and events, a special-edition library card, an anniversary book list, and a public storytelling project for all ages.
ALT The image shows the New York Public Library building at night, illuminated with the text "July 4 1776" and "United States of America" projected onto its facade. The building is adorned with large banners on each side that read "250." In the background, city skyscrapers are visible.
