I’m building something kinda.. weird? And, after a ~year of being in the code mines by myself, I could use an extra pair of hands. If you like typescript, state machines, sandboxes, and UI (right???) -- luddep@gmail.com
This is less of a hot take by the second, but if you look past the controversy (which is quickly fading) I bet Twitter's engagement and user numbers in 2 years will absolutely dwarf whatever it was pre-takeover.
working with llms is mostly building scaffolding around this giant magnificent green alien blob that appeared one day and continously poking it with a stick to try to figure out why it did what it did and it's all very exciting

I am obviously biased, but whatever, after literally years of consideration I think ChatGPT (especially o1 pro) is the most impressive thing since the iPhone
We're moving as fast as we can to give more people access to @QuillChat! To make sure everyone has a smooth experience, we’re ramping up invites every week.
Not quite a full Snow Leopard-style release of Quill, but it's close — lots of under the hood improvements for features that are just around the corner.
New in Quill: Add multiple emails, merge accounts, override dark mode, re-order channels, configure auto-archiving, and so much more: quill.chat/updates/2021-04-0…
this is probably my single favorite feature yet — it’s made us feel more like we’re in the same room than anything else (~half of us are in SF, but we have folks all over the US, in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and Sweden, too!)
I just had my first instance of an LLM using a tool in an unexpected way but _it produced a valid output_ so yeah you could say I know what it's like to see your child take their first steps
I checked in on this thought recently, and I'm feeling more optimistic. Thinking on the incredible effort that went into removing the home button for the iPhone X. FaceID and the gesture UI, as separate projects, must've been massive and were executed so well.
friday iOS 14 beta mini review: widgets make your home screen look nicer (I have weather in the top right corner), I've hid all other app pages (yay!), App Library is A+, `go` button on search results is nice, messages updates are great. beta itself is very stable.
Yes yes we all know it’s very good yada yada but it just keeps replacing functions and impressing me 2 years on — everything from interpreting an all Japanese menu, telling me how to order, to teaching me about basic physics, every day still
