I’m building something kinda.. weird? And, after a ~year of being in the code mines by myself, I could use an extra pair of hands. If you like typescript, state machines, sandboxes, and UI (right???) -- luddep@gmail.com

This is less of a hot take by the second, but if you look past the controversy (which is quickly fading) I bet Twitter's engagement and user numbers in 2 years will absolutely dwarf whatever it was pre-takeover.

working with llms is mostly building scaffolding around this giant magnificent green alien blob that appeared one day and continously poking it with a stick to try to figure out why it did what it did and it's all very exciting

Not quite a full Snow Leopard-style release of Quill, but it's close — lots of under the hood improvements for features that are just around the corner.

Teeeeechnically OpenAI had a custom font ~day 1, @benbarry asked the foundry to serif the capital I, see v1.nonlinear.co/openai
Serious question: Is it ever necessary for a brand to develop their own custom typeface? Seems pointless 99% of the time.

I’d bet that any company that gets rid of their dedicated design systems team will have objectively much better design in 2 years, easy
Design system teams are a zero interest rate phenomenon Even at companies who can afford them, they’re constantly trampled over by people writing code
