For some reason @Harvard has taken down Dean Gay's statement on the death of George Floyd from its original source.... but I think it is worth reflecting on today, and juxtaposing her words then with what she said today when questioned about hate speech towards Jews on campus and questioning the stark difference.

This is the problem with the NYT losing so much trust in their journalism / neutrality.
A jewish man is killed at a pro- palastian demonstration after being struck in the head by a megaphone by a pro Palestinian protester -- the NYT just skips that part ....
The NYT OMITS that it is being investigated as a homicide and omits reports that he was struck in the head with a megaphone and died of blunt trauma ... (which is widely reported elsewhere)
Instead they run with a "two sided altercation... pro israel first of course" (with some encoded veiled nod that it was a pro Palestinian demonstration?) and simply asserts he died from a fall.
Even if still being investigated based on what everyone else is saying not reporting that this is being investigated as a hate crime is biased -- and this once again shows that the the NYT needs to clean house either in their editing practices or through the ranks of their journalists. this is embarrassing.

The US has a ban on foreign owned media for very valid national security reasons... if it wasn't clear before, it should be crystal clear now that there should be no loophole in that for "social" media -- this is a critical national security issue / not about politics.
