For the first time in nearly 500 years the Boleyn Apartment has been dressed for Christmas as it would've been when the Boleyn family lived here. They would've dressed the Tudor Yule log, arranged foliage around the mantle, fasted in preparation then showcased a feast!

#OnThisDay in 1486 Henry VII married Elizabeth of York. The parents of Henry VIII, their marriage lasted 17 years until Elizabeth died in 1503. In 2015 we were extremely lucky to exhibit their marriage bed - the only existing royal medieval bed in England.
