It’s time to turn the tassels!
On June 23, nearly 40 students completed the nation's first workforce-focused AI literacy course, earning a credential backed by @thisisUIC and the @WordPress Foundation, and getting paid to do it. 🎓
Bro I'm so sick of pretending this isn't weird.
The internet spent 20 years creating tutorials, open-source projects, blog posts & answers for free.
AI companies turned all of it into products worth billions.
And now the same people who created that knowledge are being told they're replaceable.
We built the library.
Someone else started charging admission.
Today, the first-ever cohort of AI Leaders, a @WordPress-based AI-driven literacy course through @thisisUIC, graduated.
Plus, some words from the one and only Mary Hubbard.
Congrats, grads! More deets and photos to come.🎓

B. Proof the internet isn’t lost just yet?
C. How we win it back?
D. All of the above? 👀
