Genuary 2022 Day 1 - Draw 10,000 of something.
I chose to do this prompt by hand on paper. I generated one of my latest pieces to use as a basis, and adapted it to help me keep count.

It's modular in a way I've not done before, making it easier to create different species for the ecosystem and assign them behaviours that interact with one another.

Genuary Day 10 - Machine learning, wrong answers only
Travellers try to find their way through the maze, moving kinda randomly. When they hit a wall, they leave a warning, and when they find a gate, they leave a guide. Future travellers are repelled/attracted to warnings/guides

Flock Drawings!
- Boids (triangles) move as a flock. When two are nearby, they create a fruit.
- Fruits (small circles) are repelled by boids, attracted by predators.
- Predators (large circles) repel boids, attract and eat fruit.
- Fruits draw as they move.

I've added a new character to my ecosystem!
These yellow bubbles slowly expand and contract. When they're expanding they attract the wobbly boids and when they shrink below a certain size they repel them. Meanwhile, the predators stalk about, chasing the boids away!

Today I recoded the way that notes are placed on my generative diagrams - they now find space around the main diagram to fit in. Gonna use this method to add other content around the edges too.

Flock running in realtime - I'm calculating the flocking behaviour in a shader and passing textures in and out with the position and velocity values.
Next I'll be melting my brain with some spatial partitioning which may or may not work at all with this method.
